How do I get a card?

You can get your ORGANON SELECTTM Program card by calling 1-866-RxHelp4 (1-866-794-3574). When filling your prescription at the pharmacy, simply present your card to receive immediate payment assistance*†.

* Coverage determined by the difference in the drug cost between brand and generic including reasonable markup by province. Patients may still be required to pay pharmacy costs out of pocket.

What is a brand-name drug?

A brand-name drug is a medication resulting from an innovative pharmaceutical company’s research and development efforts.

Is there a difference between a brand-name drugs and its generic version?

The generic version is a copy of the brand name that contains the same medicinal ingredients and is considered therapeutically equivalent to the reference product. Although both drugs share the same active ingredient(s), there may be differences in colour, shape, flavour, excipients, or packaging.

Why can the pharmacist switch my brand-name drug with a generic one? And how do I know if I was given a generic version?

The pharmacist can substitute your brand-name drug if there are generic equivalents. To find out if you received the brand name or generic version, it is best to ask your pharmacist directly and state your preference.

How do I get my brand-name drug instead of the generic version?

When filling a new or renewing an ongoing prescription, simply inform your pharmacist of your preference for the brand-name drug.
